She detailed how she struggled to adjust when the now 21-year-old packed his bags.<\/p>\n<p>The former This Morning star recalled rigorously preparing him for his new life. She joked that it was \u201clike building a house\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Amid the mayhem of buying pots and pans, the emotions did not kick in until the day came for him to move to Manchester. Due to COVID restrictions at the time, only one parent was allowed in his halls of residence.<\/p>\n<p>This meant Ruth was lugging boxes up and down the stairs while husband Eamon Holmes patiently waited in reception.
